The History of Hendrick in Woodworking

View Slide Show of Woodworking Applications

woodworking examples from Henrick ManufacturingIn the late 1940’s Hendrick coined the phrase “panel saw” and applied it to its product for cutting large sheets of material.  Prior to Hendrick’s panel saw, the most common method of sizing large sheets was manually pushing them through stationary blade table saws; a practice both non-productive and dangerous.  The name panel saw has since become the tool’s generic name used worldwide for a machine that processes large sheets by holding them stationary while traversing a saw blade through the material.

Today Hendrick has one of the broadest ranges of panel sawing, computer controlled (CNC) routing and CNC machining centers available.  Hendrick products are best known for their industry leading innovation, high productivity with minimal downtown, longevity, repetitive accuracy, purchase value and award winning support.
